About Us
We are a small
but successful and expanding practice with a growing client
base in a variety of markets. We provide a no-nonsense
and effective service to both the private and public sectors
with an emphasis on new development and regeneration. We offer
a full range of services to assist developers, architects,
planners and local authorities achieve the right transport,
parking and highway design solutions. We have consistently
proved over the ten years we have been in business that we
offer the same level of service as many of the biggest consultancies
in the country but at much more competitive fee rates and
on a much more personal and accessible basis with our clients.
We are based in offices
in north-east London and accept commissions all over the U.K.

History
The company was
formed in 2004 to specifically take on the development related
work and local government support that had previously been
undertaken by HMZ Consulting. HMZ Consulting was formed
in 1996 by three directors
who had previously worked for a number of major UK Consultants
and prior to that many years of local government service.
Two of those directors remain with TPC. Since it's formation
and including its subsequent transformation into TPC, the
company has punched well above its weight in terms of the
size of project and responsibilities undertaken. We were
responsible over seven years for steering the transportation
aspects and negotiations on, the National Stadium at Wembley
on behalf of the London Borough of Brent and
undertook the final appraisal of the Wembley Stadium planning
application that led to the approved scheme but with a package
of transport related improvements in excess of £115
million. In addition to this work we have assisted with
schemes providing over 25,000 residential units, 10 million
square feet of commercial space and hundreds of other developments.
Projects range in size from just a few units or small commercial
premises to area wide schemes with comprehensive transport
facilities.

We have also provided a range
of services for local government. This has varied from simple
secondment of junior staff for general transportation duties,
to authoring major policy documents and finance bids (LIP/BSP,LDF
& CIF) and project managing major initiatives. These
have included amongst many, Harlesden City Challenge, Park
Royal Transport Strategy,Wembley SRB, WillesdenJunction
Hub SRB, Decriminalisation of Parking in Brighton &
Hove, Local Development Frameworks and parking standards
in a number of London Boroughs. We also undertook the London
wide coordination of the Safer Routes to School programme.
We now have a significant client
base with many long term relationships with our clients
that are providing a growing frequency of repeat business
across all sectors. Since beginning trading in 2004 every
year has seen significant growth in our business, with 2007
marking a trebled annual turnover for the company with already
committed work for 2008 providing every prospect of an even
better year.

Future
Plans
We will continue to
expand but only with people in whom we are confident provide
the right balance of common sense, commercial awareness,
technical ability and communication skills. We are in a
situation where Transport Issues remain high on the political
and environmental agendas. The demand for our services looks
assured for the forseeable future. As a consequence trained
transportation specialists are in short supply. We specifically
mean "trained" as an academic qualification in
itself is not in our view a guarantee in respect of ability
to work with our clients.
